Keep your sessions short — 5 to 10 minutes — and end on a positive note so your puppy builds confidence. It also helps to train before mealtime, when your Cavapoo is a little hungry and more focused. Avoid distractions by practicing in a quiet room or backyard. Try high-value rewards such as small bits of chicken or cheese if regular treats don’t work. Consistency is everything: use the same words and tone so your puppy associates them with actions. Over time, even non-food-driven Cavapoos respond beautifully to repetition and affection.
